NEWS FROM RFTRA,
YOUR FEDERATION

RFTRA has come a long way in these last few years.
We enjoy a good working relationship with Reading Borough Council, and although we are funded from the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) by RBC, we always stress we are fiercely independent of them, and challenge them as and when necessary on your behalf. We also work well with the Tenants Participation Unit, (TPU) which helps us to achieve the things that you our residents want.

There are various sub groups with in the Federation, which deal with a wide variety of issues, residents, tenants, and leaseholders attend these.

A lively discussion usually ends with some positive outcomes for tenants, etc: - one of which was the Rent Setting meeting.

It is a very interesting Federation which not only includes the Tenants and Residents Associations (Tara's) across the town, but also Community Voices, and Sounding Board Members, this enables us to consult with a much wider number of local people about the things that matter to you.

Please get in touch with us by phone, or e-mail, as we really want your views and opinions. You are important in what we are trying to achieve for our future in Reading. Do feedback any comments of the website to us please. Shortly we will be piloting a Forum on the website and see where that takes us, so watch this space.

Some of the Sub Groups we are involved with are shown on this website, so check your menu to find where you can learn more about them.

Thank you
